Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AusToday website at discountsod.com ("the Site") and any related services, including subscription products, operated by Discountsod Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable Australian law or regulation
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute or republish any content from the Site without our prior written consent
  • Use automated means to access, scrape or extract content from the Site
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
  • Transmit any material that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or otherwise objectionable

2. Intellectual Property

All content published on AusToday — including articles, images, graphics, logos and design elements — is owned by or licensed to Discountsod Pty Ltd and is protected by Australian and international copyright law. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property without express written permission.

3. Subscription Services

We offer subscription plans that provide access to premium content on the Site. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

  • Billing – subscription fees are billed in Australian dollars at the frequency specified at the time of purchase (monthly or annual)
  • Auto-renewal – subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • Cancellation – you may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are provided for unused time
  • Free tier – the free tier provides access to a limited selection of articles each month and may be subject to change
  • Price changes – we may change subscription prices at any time, with at least 30 days' notice to current subscribers

4. Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for subscription payments except where required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If you believe you are entitled to a refund under the ACL, please contact us at outlook@discountsod.org.au.

5. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty or other term or condition implied or imposed by the ACL that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.

6. Accuracy of Content

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of content published on AusToday. However, our articles are for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional medical, financial, legal or other specialist advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your circumstances.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Discountsod Pty Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content. Our total liability to you for any claim arising in connection with the Site or these Terms will not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and display advertisements from third-party networks. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or accuracy of any third-party site. The inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement by AusToday or Discountsod Pty Ltd.

9. Advertising

The Site displays advertisements from third-party advertising networks, including Taboola. Advertisements are clearly distinguished from editorial content. We do not endorse any advertised product or service unless explicitly stated. Advertisers have no influence over editorial decisions or content.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via a notice on the Site or by email to subscribers. Continued use of the Site after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
